Consulting & Facilitation
Aligning Values, Systems, and Lived Practice
I partner with institutions that care deeply about people. These institutions are feeling the strain of systems that no longer work the way they were intended.
Drawing on my management consulting background and my work in faith-based settings in higher education, I help organizations:
- Diagnose what’s actually happening beneath the surface
- Understand why good intentions aren’t producing sustainable outcomes
- Redesign systems so care, leadership, and belonging don’t fall victim to burnout
This work is thoughtful, rigorous, and human-centered. Systems matter, but people are not interchangeable parts.

My Ideal Consulting Client Experiences the Following
- Systems Under Strain
- When support structures, workflows, or care systems rely too heavily on a few people or quietly fail those they’re meant to serve.
- Burnout, Role Confusion, & Capacity Collapse
- Staff, volunteers, student leaders, and clergy are carrying responsibilities that were never meant to be individual burdens.
- Belonging, Engagement, & Retention Concerns
- When people disengage, stop showing up, or drift away, it's not because they don’t care. It's because participation has become emotionally difficult.
- Hospitality, Onboarding, & First-Contact Challenges
- Uncertainty about how newcomers, students, or members experience your organization, and where they fall through the cracks.
- Leadership Transitions & Change Fatigue
- Moments of transition that risk panic, paralysis, or mission drift. Where systems, processes, and support are absent.
- Values–Practice Misalignment
- When stated values are clear, but everyday practices don’t reflect them. And everyone feels the tension.
How I Work
My approach is grounded in management consulting rigor, human systems awareness, and a deep respect for the moral and spiritual dimensions of organizational life. I don’t arrive with pre-packaged solutions. I work collaboratively to understand context, constraints, culture, and power dynamics before offering recommendations.
Engagements often include:
- Listening sessions and congregational interviews
- Mission / Vision / Strategy sessions
- Systems or process mapping
- Facilitated conversations or retreats
- Pattern identification and risk analysis
- Clear, written observations and recommendations
The Facilitation and Consulting Experience Might Look Like:
- A one-day workshop
- A 2-3 day retreat
- A 3-month, 6-month, or 9-month project where we work together to determine the scope and deadlines
- Work tailored to your context, size, and reality
- Short-term assessments, retreat facilitation, and multi-phase projects
The goal is not perfection. It's creating ways of working that are sustainable, humane, and true to your values.
